Daytime driving lights.

I own a 1997 Ford F250 extended cab 4X4. It has the always on daytime driving lights that are housed in the main headlamp assemblies. I am wanting to disconnect this feature and have no idea how to do so. Can anyone explain to me how to disconnect these lights only?

Have you tried a search on "DRL" or "daytime running lights"? Seems like someone went over that a while back. If I remember right it's just a relay you have to unplug, but I can't remember...

Good luck, and judging by your post count, welcome!

BTW nice to see someone from Kansas. I'm originally a flatlander myself...

Thanks guys, it worked great. I feel stupid for asking now that I've done it! Thanks again.

No what is stupid is thae fact that engaging the park break does not disable them, so when you need to (Like at the Drive-In) they won;t be on.

My Old 92 Ranger, press the park brake 2 notches and the daytime running lights went out. Nice and easy, and you did not have to unplug anything.
