Years ago when I had an '85 T-Bird (black) I got some paint overspray on it. I called an automotive paint source and they told me of a product called "Liquid Ebony" It came in a quart plastic squeeze bottle and it removed all overspray and swirl marks if you used the buffer properly. I bought it, and it did in fact work as promised. It made the finish look like it was glass. They said I should use a sealer on it and then wax it. The stuff just worked great.
Anybody hear of this stuff before?

YES! Used to use it...great stuff. When ever I would buy a new (used) car, I'd take out the Milwaukee buffer and go over it with Liquid Ebony. It would clean the old paint, and get it ready for wax. If the paint was faded, I'd use machine compound first, then the LE to remove the swirls. I don't know if they still make it or not, but it did work well.
