My only suggestion is to take it by a glass place.

If, and only if, it was a VERY VERY small scratch, something that is moderately agressive from an abrasive standpoint might work but, I still don't think it'd be right.

Good luck and let us know.

Can you feel the scratch?

I would take it to someone who knows how to take care of glass. Polishing scratches out of glass can be difficult because it can be messed up and you will get a "fish bowl" effect out of your windshield.

the scratch it is about as wide as a pen tip at the most you can feel it slightly and it goes from the bottom to the top like the sweap of the wiper and of corse it is at eye level. I'll have to swing by the glass place on Monday.thanks for the input.

If the scratch is on the driver's side, a lot of places won't fix it, depending on how deep the scratch is. The glass shop advised me that the fix would eventually make a white streak where the scratch was due to moisture inside the glass, and that made it illegal because it obstructed the driver's view.

Im part owner of a glass company.(www.ameriglassco.com) That's absolutely correct. They won't repair chips, scratches or rub marks that are in line of the drivers view. No matter how big or small.

We used to do it in house. We dont anymore. Theres a place called Mr Chips on River Rd in Hackensack and that is all he does. It can run between $30-$70. Depending how large and/or deep the chip is. If you need directions, let me know.
