Power mirror problem!

I was cleaning the glass in the driver mirror and it moved, so I tried to readjust with switch and noticed that the travel was limited when I adjusted toward the truck, so I adjusted with the switch full out to see what the max travel was so I could center mirror manually in middle of travel. Since I went full out the mirror will no longer come back in towards the truck electrically. It will go out, up and down, but not back towards the truck. I would assume that one of the drives has become dislodged. Anybody had this happen? Also, how does the mirror come apart?

I am having the same problem with my power mirrors. I haven't pulled anything apart yet, because frankly, I am not sure where to start.

Probably one of the white plugs in side the mirror broke or became dislodged. The mirror is held on by a ball joint directly behind the mirror itself in the middle. Your going to have to pull on the mirror, don't be afraid to give it a good tug.

I just noticed that the passenger mirror also won't go right. So if the driver and the passenger mirrors have the same problem, they go every direction but right, then I would think thaat its in the switch. Anyone know of any other reason? Still waitinbg for my Helms manuals.

the little thing behind the mirror that actual moves only has a small range of movement.

The mirror is not ridgidly attached to this mount so you can move the mirror manually resulting in limiterd movement such as the mirror not moving all the way right.

Gently move the mirror by hand in the opposite direction a half inch or so and this usually corrects the problem.

With all of the snow up here, my mirrors get whacked out of place all the time with the snow brush.

My truck starting having the EXACT same problem about 2 weeks ago. Mirrors go up, down, and left without a problem. However, neither of them will go right.

I'm assuming the switch is bad but haven't looked into the cost of replacing it yet.

I am able to move both mirrors up/down/left with the switch, but not right. I can and have pushed both mirrors manually to the right, however the switch still does not move them right. I think that maybe the problem is in the switch with either the mechanical part of the switch or a common wire has been pulled out of place.
