Question Windshield washer stopped working.

Any suggestions on where I should start trouble shooting? There is fluid in the washer tank. Mark M

Mark,

I know that there is a small electric pump on the side of the fluid resevoir tank. Not sure how you could test it but, that might be the culprit.

Also, check your owner's manual and find out what fuse that it's tied into. Check the fuse.

Good luck!!

See if it works when you fiddle with the switch by moving the lever around and pressing harder on the switch. Sometimes the the wires on the multifunction switch are loose. The contacts can also become corroded.

Who said this ?
I checked the web site, and it does not say to not use it as caulk, so I used it to caulk in my Exhaust inlet door on my garage door

Mark -

Mine did the same thing.

As crazy as it sounds, while you're pushing in on the little activation **** push the stick forward (like you're flashing your brights) and I bet your washer fluid will start spraying like crazy!

I got that tip from someone else and it seems to be a pretty common problem with our trucks. Pushing forward on the stick somehow "jumpstarts" the fluid pump back into working. I have no idea how, but it works every time for me!

The first thing I would do is clean the nozzles. The holes are rather small and dirt, wax, ice, etc often gets stuck in there.
