Help! What is this part?

I found this part laying on the driver's side floor of my '99 f150. anyone know what it is ? everything seems to work just fine without it.......... see the gallery for wht it looks like.

Some poor cheby must have drove by while shedding parts. That's actually the plug for the rat cage. They'll usually kick it out when they haven't been fed for awhile.

That would be a do-hicky and it goes in the thinga-ma-bob. I honestly do not know what that is, The best I could tell it loks like it could possibly be an electrical plug cap of some sort but like I said I really haven't seen anything quite like it before. You sure it is off the truck and not something else you had in the cab??

Its that thing that they drop in the door before they put the panel on that rolls around and drives you nuts trying to figure out what the hell it is and where the hell it's at

I figured it out. Thats a reinforcing part for our doors... when it falls off the doors develop a mysterious crack.

Have you developed any squeaks or rattles lately? It almost looks like some kind of rubber part used to stop rubbing or squeaks but it's hard to tell.
Try taking it to a parts store - thye should know. If not I'd try a dealer or look under the other side of the truck for a similar part. Hope this helps!
