I have a couple ideas for my old beat up truck. I either wanted to paint it midnight blue make it look like the 90's lightinings and then buy the emblems from a lightining. My other idea was to paint it jet black and run an orange pin stripe down the side then buy the harley symbols from the new Davidson Edition fords. Please any feed back will be helpful.....

 

Both sound like great ideas to me, but I'm sure ytou're gonna get a lot of greif from the L folks if you used the L emlbems on a non L.

If it's beat up, how come you want to repaint it?

 

its not like beat up the body. its pretty striaght just a couple lil dings. the engine is pretty old and tired but i am in the process of buying a new block and rebuilding an old c4 or c6. I'll get some pix up on here asap. yeah i would catch flak from the L guys so i think i will stick with the Har one i like it more any how.

 

Those HD emblems are pretty darn expensive aren't they? I remember a salesman telling me that they just quit putting them on the trucks sitting on their lot because they were being stolen every night... so, when someone would buy one, they'd mount them then...

they are really pricy so what i am going to do is get them from the dealership because my friend is the head tech at the ford dealership here so i can prlly get them cheap.... or just steal them

 

I like the sound of jet black with the orange stripe... leave the SVT and HD badges off though... that will suck all the respect someone might have for your custom job right out the window. I see a lot of nice looking trucks, that ruin the look with a fake badge.
