?Moderate scratches, how to remove?

Hello,
Here is the story...
Yesterday when going home I found a note on my windshield saying "The car that hit your car is..." I do have a plate number though
So I checked the truck and found that the left rear fender has been scratched. It's not bad actually, it's not bend or anything just some scratches from the bumper and bumper's paint in them.
Two things here:
1. Could some one please tell me what product(s) should I use to get rid of the alien paint and make the scratches to be less noticeable? I understand that I probably would not be able to remove the scratches completely but it's not the main concern because the truck is six y.o. and that's not the only thing on it The main concern is the alien paint...
2. Just curios if there is a possibility to press any charges here...
Thanks in advance,
Alex.

As for pressing charges, if you have a name & phone number of the person who witnessed the event and left the note, you could try. But unless the police are willing to do something, civil filing fees can be more expensive than what you'd get out of the offender.

Good luck.

File a hit and run with the police department giving all the information including any witnesses. The police will take care of it from there. The owner will probably end up with a warrant and will be surprised next time he gets pulled over.

Thumbs up it never happened! :)

Thanks a lot guys for all yours replies!
I could find the Eagle One Scratch Remover only on Internet ( http://www.autogeek.net/eagleoneproducts.html ) not in the stores around.
The product is AWESOME! After 30 mins of polishing all the scratches are gone!
It never happened
Thanks again,
Alex.
