Need some help cleaning brake dust

Hi all,

My sister's Focus has got large amounts of brake dust on the rims - this stuff is caked on there. I tried to help her out with some wheel cleaner I had (not sure who makes it) and it only helped a little. Parts of the wheel seem to be stained with the dust, can anybody recommend a good wheel cleaner that will get this stuff off. As always, I appreciate any help!

Stained? Or is it kind of 'baked' on there? In a sense, can you feel it sitting ontop of the surface of the wheel or does it seem as though it has pitted into the aluminum?

I recommend the gel formula of P21S. Use a soft bristle tooth brush and a sponge.

Thanks for the response.
RP,
There is no pitting, so I guess it is just "baked on."
What do you think?
Thanks.

Hrrm... not real sure what to tell you. Clay might remove it however; I think I'd try the P21S first.
