I got up off my sorry a$$ and Meguiared my truck today too. It has rained here in Tennessee just about every day for the past week and a half. Boy it sure does feel good to have a nice and shiny truck now! Nice detail job on your truck bloomquist! Very nice!

Thanks y'all!

It's now pouring rain and screaming Lightning and Thunder again

Oh well, at least I got to wax it before we got drowned

It's actually true I now need to apply some polish and get some different tire dressing I bought some trutle wax tire stuff to see how it worked, and I that I could see what a slightly black tire... just barely blacker than when I applied it

oh and PS: The reason you see a tiny reflection off the front tire on the first pic I posted is cause I went and applied some ArmorAll tir protectant that I had been using but wasn't satisfied with it.

Be careful what "polish" you apply. Any abrasive polish will remove all your hard work.......... unless you're planning on starting the whole process over again. A glaze like #7 can be applied over a wax, but the look of the #7 won't last long like that. If I were you, I'd pick up a can of #26 paste wax, or better yet P21S, and top it with one of those. Then get yourself a good QD to keep it maintained.

Just like Boss mentioned, polish is going to remove all of your hard work with the wax...

Here's what I would suggest doing...

Here in a few months (say, the end of Sept). Get some Meguiars #7 or #9 if you're seeing numerous swirls. Apply the polish and then start building back up with the #26. You'll love the results.

All righty, thanks for the polish tips!

It's rained every night (or day) this week except for Saturday which is good cause I was at a shooting competition then.
