Question Emblem cleaning

I am going to use F150 emblems on my reception tables as centerpieces for my wedding (fiance wasn't too thrilled about that). Some are new and some I got off of wrecked F150's in the junkyard. How do I clean them without scratching them or eating through the plastic???

Dang man! Sweet idea!! PLEASE put some pics up!
Congrats on the wedding and welcome to the board!

I'm no expert, but here's what I would try......

If they are dirty or have stuff on them, try rinsing them in a dishwashing liquid solution in something like a tupperware container or pan and scrub them with a toothbrush. Be sure to rinse them off well with water.

That should be good but since this is a wedding or if you want to be really thorough, you could try cleaning the black part of the emblem with a q-tip dipped in armorall and clean the plastic chrome with a polish like Mothers Mag/Alluminum stuff(a small red container).

That's my two cents. Anybody else have any input?
