latest news on cracks?

Ok, it has been awhile since I have been to these message boards and I am curious what the latest procedures are when it comes to fixing cracked doors on F-150's. Mine is a 2000 and I already had the driver's door repaired with the plate/adheasive deal, only to have it crack again. I am still in my 3year/36,000 warrenty. I am also curious to see if there is any preventive messures being taken on doors that have not yet cracked, I.E. my passenger door.

I am about to go raise holy hell tomorrow with my dealer but I need my facts straight so that I have a leg to stand on if it comes to pulling teeth with them. Any and ALL help is appreciated!!!

Bill

Also, is there a link to get to the website for the official TSB on this problem?

Thanks...Bill

I believe the TSB# you need is 01182. Follow the "Recalls & TSB's" link on this site, or go to following link and do the search you need.

I tried that, I did find that tsb# but there was no description of what the dealer was supposed to do. They wanted to bill me for the research if I was reading it right!
I seem to recall about a year ago there was a website that went into great detail what a dealer was supposed to do, both the first time it was fixed and also afterwards if the repair failed. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
