Meguiars #57 Marine Vinyl/Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner
I tried this stuff out a few weekends ago on a recommendation from, of all people, my grandfather who is an avid sailer. We were talking about car care and I brought up Vinylex as a suggestion to a problem he was having.
He went on to say that he had used a product in the past from a company that he called MESQUIRES (prononunced: ME' squires) that was in a blue bottle. He said it was a rubber/vinyl cleaner and he couldn't find it anymore but really wanted to see if he could get his hands on a bottle because it was the best stuff he'd ever used on his 'very expensive' boat.
Well, I had to go find this product and, ironically, I found it by accident at AutoZone. It's Meguiars #57 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner. It was around $10/bottle and is a really good product.

I used it on my running boards as a 'test run' and it really brought out some of the crud that was in the texture of the vinyl not to mention left a nice luster.
Naturally, being a Boat/RV product, it offers UV protection (as do alot of protectants).
I just wanted to pass along a positive experience with yet another Meguiars product. I'm still sold on Meguiars.

I use this product on my ski boat interior and it is terrific, with one word of caution. Do not get it on any clear plastic (like an instrument cluster). It will cloud up the plastic like nobodies business. Unfortunately I have personal experience with this phenomenon. Other than that, I also like it and use it.
A question. Have you ever tried 303 Protectant on your truck? I'm sold on this stuff for all of the exterior and interior trim on my truck. I especially like it on the dash and interior trim panels. Like the Meguiars Marine product, 303 also has some heavy UV inhibitors. If you get a chance, try it.

Yeah, I'm thinking that I'll try it. I just wanted to give it a trial run first but, after what I've experienced, I'll definately try it out on my rubber... well, at least the rubber sitting under my truck.

Do either of the 303 or Meguiars #57 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner leave a greasy feeling when applied. I want to use something, especially on the inside, like the dash that DOES NOT leave any greasy or oilly feeling to it.
RockPile, what do you think buddy?

I also use the Meguairs on my Wakeboard boat and truck it works great for all vinyl rubber and plastic save a few bucks though don't buy the Marine #57 instead buy the regular Meguiars Mirror Glaze #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner it cost less just becasue it doesn't say MARINE and it is the exact same product I have called and talked to Meguiars about it, because i use it both on my boat and truck i buy it by the gallon and just refill my spray bottle.
