Installation Position of engine hood ? Please help!

Hi,
I am a student from germany and we are testing car hoods. We have a Ford F 150 and a Ford Ranger hood from the actual models. Our problem is that we have to simulate the installation position of the hood in actual truck. We need the heights of both hood edges (upper and lower) to be measured in the car. We don“t have these cars in germany so it is very difficult to get these data. So it would be very cool, if someone maybe could measure these two heights for me.

Many thanks !

The distance from the ground to the edges would be great. We are using these data for a structural benchmark test with aluminium hoods from different vehicles. Thanks for the support.

MRORANGE - do you live anywhere near Mannheim, Heidelberg, Ramstein, Spangdahlem, Wiesbaden, Oberammergau or any of the other areas where there are large American communities? You might be able to find several F-150's, Explorers & Expeditions in those areas for "hands-on" assistance. Just drive around there, you can't miss them!!! I was amazed to see how many people actually had their trucks shipped over when I visited the Ramstein area! Especially given the high price of gasoline over here and the notoriously narrow European roads.

As an American Air Force member stationed in Belgium who desperately misses his -150, I would love to help you if it was here. GOOD LUCK!
