Question Meguiars long lasting gel????

I have been looking for a nice product to put on my wheels for the gloss look after I wash it, i have been using the Meguiars for awhile but now I see alot of black spots on my truck behind both wheels, It happens just from driving home to work (8 miles) I even tried wiping them down with a rag after i put on the gel and still get spots, anyone know of a better product that will not come off the wheels?
Thanks

been there quite a few times. hate the sling off with most products. i've tried dozens of different tire shines since i've gotten my truck, and every one of them either slung off, turned brown, attracted dirt/dust, or didn't last. I tried the zaino z16 tire shine last summer and wow! no sling off, no turning brown, no attracting dirt, and it lasts a good amount of time. one coat for low gloss two coats for high gloss. It actaully like dries on the tires, so its not oily or anything like that. you can use it on plastic and bedmats also. the stuff is amazing!
but you need to let it dry for a few hours if you do two coats so there won't be any sling off.
its a little expensive, 20 bucks for 16 oz. but very little bit does a whole tire. I've been using it since august/september doing double coats and just about every weekend there in the spring for a fresh coat for each weekend show, and now i do it about every 2 weeks, but i'm barely 1/4 of the way through the bottle

even the tire is reflecting the car next to me

no, you can only get it from www.zainobros.com

if you need something right away from teh store, i'd say your next best bet would be black magic (i think thats the name of the stuff, either that or tire wet, or eagle wet, something like that) and its in a white round bottle with a black top and black label. its the wipes. their spray on tire shine is horrible, but the wipes are great. and its a different formula too, cuz when you get to the bottom the liquid is white, not clear like in their spray on type. but it lasts just as long as the zaino, but it takes one swipe to just do a tire, and only 25 wipes in a container, but it would be perfect for your trip. i took a container with me on my trip to myrtle beach

have fun and happy new year

02F150n89 5 0,

The secret to using the Meguiar's gel is as follows............ scrub the tires super clean, apply a light, but complete coat of the Meguiar's gel. Now, before you move the vehicle, wash the tires again lightly with some car wash soap to remove any excess gel. Then, dry the tires, and apply a good water based protectant over the gel. I use the Zainos Z16 like Harley356. Meguiar's #40 protectant is also good, but doesn't last as long as the Zaino's.

Anyhow, the gel provides a good, long-lasting "black" base for the water based protectants which add some shine.

I have great luck with a product called Vinylex. It's a spray on dressing but, if you allow it about 15 mins to dry after applying a couple of coats, it won't sling off and typically has decent shine for 5-7 days.

G'luck.
