Just bought a 2001 F550 4x4 with 26000km. Is there anything I can do to make this truck as efficient as possible. It's a work truck so it will be on the road a lot.

It also doesn't feel as powerful as it should but I have never drove anything with a V10 before.

Honestly though, maybe a tuner will help some, but you probably will never get a return on your investment in terms of fuel economy with any intake/exhaust mods.

 

If things go as planned diesel will definetly be in my future. But until then this is going to have to work. I'm just shocked that it's just not as powerful as my chev suburban with the 454. That's really the only thing I have to compare to and it's not even close.
