Okay, heres a question for the snowpounding Canuk lads.....Eh?
Which muffler will not rust out so quickly? Magnaflow or Flowmaster?
I love the tone of a Flowmaster, but don't want to replace it every other year.

 

I won't use anything but stainless on my trucks

Quality costs money, that's a fact of life. Spend good money once and get years of use from it, or save a few bucks and replace it over and over. This is why I prefer Magnaflow over Flowmaster.

 

I've had a Magnaflow si/do aluminized muffler on my truck for 2-1/2 years now without a rust spot on it. I had aluminized pipes on my old chevy p/u for many years with no rust problem at all. I live in the Okanagan, so that may have something to do with it, but, we still get snow, slush and rock salt on the roads and once you get out of the valley, you experience serious winter conditions.

You also tend to get better peformance and mileage numbers from the magnaflow than the flowmaster...
