Need some opinions here!

Hello. I am new to f150 online. Here is my situation and I have two days to decide. I am currently leasing a 2003 f150 XLT 4X4 with five months left on my lease. I would like to get myself a new truck because of the family pricing. My dealer (Harvey Krotz Ford in Listowel) tells me that I would have to eat up $2000 of whats left of my lease payments. I have access to x-plan pricing through my work. Would I be better off to get into a new truck now, or wait until my lease is up and use my x-plan? It seems like I'm damned if I do, and damned if I don't. I know it could be a gamble waiting until December/January to see what deals there may be.

Thanks!

Croixman...Family Pricing is a sales ploy that the big three are using to move slow sales...This is peak buying time, and sales are slow...Salesman and dealers are hungry in December, It's cold and they have to buy pressent's for the Family, Your not Damned at all, You still have to pay off Ford credit, Your frendily Ford dealer will add your $2,000 owing to your new payments, and any perks of a new truck for less money are gone...Keep your truck till your Lease term ends, You will be better albe to shop arround for A Ford Chevy Dodge or X brand, or even buy your 2003 F-150....your Ford dealer is going to look foolish selling you a 05 price quoted in Aug for more money in December of Jan 06.....

if your dealer is good, they will notify you when there are additional sales coming up. They will also re-lease you your truck on a monthly basis after the initial lease is up. And let you lease on a month-to-month basis (same rate) until that next big sale comes up.

Thanks guys! Funny thing. I left a message the other day on my salesperson's voicemail stating I was going to deal with another dealership because they were offering a better buyout on my lease. Yesterday morning, my dealership phoned and what do you know! On Wednesday I pick up my new '05 red f-150 s/c fx4. Its pretty loaded and I'm paying less than what I was with my '03 XLT.

Thanks again!
