1999 F150 supercab with cracked doors

Told by Ford that they have never heard of this happening so therefore we have to pay for the doors to be replaced out of our pocket

It is cracking on both the driver and passenger side doors beside the window. Our truck only has 86,000 km's and we were just about to sell and buy a new vehicle when we noticed this problem! Anybody in Canada have this problem and if so did you get Ford to fix it?

What your dealer told you is a bunch of crap. There have been at least 2 tech bulletins issued on the problem. My dealer tried that line on me and they ended up fixing it at no cost to me. Go to the F150online home page and check out the article written by the esteemed Mike Troyer about door cracks. It's on the right hand side of the page, third item down in the "Helpful Resources" column. Don't take no crap from the stinkin' dealer on this issue....

I checked out the article you mentioned! I phoned my dealer back and of course they say that that is only in the U.S and that here in Canada Ford is not fixing the problem! The head Ford Canada says I am the only one here in canada with this problem.Quiet disapointing for my husband and I,we spent alot of money making sure we have a safe reliable vehicle for our family and now we have to take food out of our kids mouths to fix "Ford's" mistake!

BS. Walk around a mall parking lot. Look and see that almost every 97-99 F150 has the door crack to some degree. Some have it on both doors.
