Sold my F150 going to order a new 2023…

The super duty and F150 are very comparable in pricing. I plan on keeping my next truck “forever”. Either way, I’m going with a gas V-8 engine. Not a diesel. I like the thought of a heavier duty frame more payload if needed (live in salt belt last f150 frame rotted), engine, etc.

I mostly use the truck for truck reasons. Drive my cars and SUVs most the time. I do tow my 23’ boat (most of the time in a slip in the summer) tow a utility trailer with a couple ATVs on it. Mostly use for this reasons and camping. Never know a few more years my upgrade to a bigger boat. But I would assume the F150 with a tow package could handle it.

I guess my problem is with a similar cost to get a super duty. Vehicle stands a little prouder. can be impressive to look at (depending on options). Again, if ever in the future, wanted to get a camper, fifth wheel, bigger boat. Why would I not get the super duty? Understanding the ride will definitely be rougher and not as smooth as a f150, but a truck is a truck. Not like I would be ruining a super duty by being easy on it, if I wasn’t towing and hauling frequently with it right? Lol.

just hoping somebody on here has some feedback may be regretted not getting the super duty or vice versa.

It really comes down to the ride, and other minor differences (turning radius', etc). If I was in your shoes either a F150 with the max payload or nothing bigger than a F250.

A F350, if you aren't used to driving them ride pretty rough due to the extra amount of leaf springs.

I suggest taking both a F150 Heavy Payload and F250 out for a test drive to compare.

I'm actually in the same boat. Though, I am looking older, less complicated. Been looking at Internationals like the 4700 with the DT466E or a T444E. But that's a whole different type of truck... lol and I am keeping my manual F150.

 

The F250 with the new 6.8 gas V8 looks like a winner.
