I found a 2006 mustang v6 leather interior good condition working fine but has a salvage title.. The thing is on the title it claims to hav le 55k but the odometer reads 39k. He wants 6000
What do you think?

I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole unless you are going to pay cash for it and plan on keeping it till it's time to send it to the junkyard. You will not be able to get financing on it, and I doubt you can get any insurance on it except legally required liability.

KBB private party in "fair" is 9 grand. They don't even value "poor" and anything with a salvage title is automatically "poor".

 

most salvage means there was frame damage. many resellers just put them back together in a pretty shabby way to make a fast buck. unless it was like $2000 then it's not worth it.

 

Not necessarily - it means that an insurance company has "totaled" it for various reasons. It could be just a theft recovery.
