Factory Or Aftermarket Bedliner

I'm interested in getting a bedliner for my 2002 flareside. I'm not sure which direction I should go. I'd like to get one thats molded precisely to the interior of the bed such as a factory one, but also would like to get one that offers as much slip & sliding resistance as possible. Should I be looking at the Ford or an aftermarket bedliner?

Thanks,

Matt

I have the OEM Duraliner. If you don't want stuff to slide, look elsewhere. EVERYTHING slides on mine.

If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten a Bedrug - and I still might get one. Everone I have head raves about them.

What's a Bedrug? Is it a mat or somekind or a brand of bedliner? I've never heard of it.

I agree with pw1981 I have the OEM Duraliner and everything slides as well. Like he said I too am thinking about getting the bedrug, if not that then at least those rubber mates that you can put back there to keep things in.

What I do now is where they have the indentions (I guess thats what they are called) I have a 2" x 6" in the front one and the back one to hold things in place. Works pretty good especially the one in the back to hold the grochers in place driving home and holding the sands bags during winter for a little better traction.

Well that makes 3 of us. I also have the Duraliner, and I hate it. The only reason I got it was because I didn't want the bed to ever see the light of day. I will be taking it out at Christmas and installing a Bedrug also.

I really can't stand the duraliner. It makes a lot of noise when I hit a bump, there is plenty of room for water and other things to slider under it. I don't know how well it's doing it's job. I guess I'll see when I take it off. But honestly, don't waste your money on a Duraliner. Even though they're cheap, either save for a Bedrug or find something else.

with Rhinoliner everything stays put

I bought my truck with the Rhinoliner already spread in. I'll admit, I'll never be without one. Put just about anything at the tailgate, close the tailgate. Drive around for many miles. Open the tailgate and it hasn't moved. I keep a box of hunting clothes and a bow case back there right now and they never move.

Five of us agree that teh OEM liner is not that resistant towards sliding objects. I like the ford symbol, but I must admit it is a little irritating.

I have the Ford liner. I really like the looks of the Ford logo on the front of the liner.
My bed extender keeps stuff from sliding around.
Remember, sliding easy can be a good thing when loading or unloading stuff.

Just my .02.

I can HIGHLY recommend a Rhino Linings spray in bed liner! I had a Ford drop in bedliner, and decided to get a Rhino Linings, and I LOVE it! It is so sweet.

I currently have a drop in plastic and hate it. The only good thing about it is sliding material out of it.
I had a Rhino liner in a former truck and they no the best way to go looks clean, quiets down the bed, if you plan on keeping your truck it's IMHO the one of the best improvements you can make to your truck.

I would get a Rhino Linings spray in bed liner. I have a gray one in my deep wedgewood blue Super Duty. They can color match it if you want. I really, really, really like this spray in liner. NOTHING slides in this bed liner. When they took it out the drop in, I was shocked to see how much dirt was underneath it!
