Scorpion Bedliners?
Scorpion Bedliners?
Anyone tried them? I visited my favorite body shop the other day ... they've tested or installed Rhino, Line-X, etc. and the owner said Scorpion is the best, hands-down. The drawback is that it takes 48 hours to dry. It's a bit thinner than the others, but has a more "rubbery" finish. I'm thinking of getting it done, but I haven't been able to see a Line-X liner. Cost is $399.
I'm concerned about the fact that it's thinner. Not because of durability, but because of dent resistance. I don't want to dent up the bed and I put a lot of heavy stuff in it!

Scorpion is a solvent-based. slow-setting formula. The finish is not as refined as a hot, high-pressure spray system. In other words, they're ugly. They are too soft to hold up well if you use your truck like a truck. Also because it is a very slow system, the applicaor cannot control thickness very well. The coating will be even thinner on top of the bed floor's ribs.
Don't do it.
My supplier (I'm an applicator) is Arma Coatings. They originated the hot, high-pressure spray system in North America. Look for a dealer near you at www.armacoatings.com.
