Question Another Bedrug question=Water?

OK, Does the Bedrug let water soak through? Does water get trapped underneath the Bedrug? Has anyone checked to see if water or moisture is underneath? How long does the Bedrug take to dry out when it gets wet? Last question, does the fabric get torn?Ok, one more, why is it only in one color?

Madd,

I posted some answers on the Screw thread about the water.

I'm sure if you were to drag something sharp along the rug it would tear but the same thing would tear up or scratch up a liner, spray in or bare bed as well.

I would suggest you go online and fill out the form on the bedrug page so that you can get a sample in the mail. It is pretty tough stuff. http://www.bedrug.com/

I don't know why it only comes in one color. My truck is dark Shadow gray so the bedrug blends great. I've seen it in a red truck and also a black truck and it looked great in those trucks as well.

The thing is after youve seen it you'll want to get one.

Just purchased and installed a bedrug for the Lightning; it looks wonderful! They are made of marine carpet, and are impervious to just about anything; will NOT aborb water. The backing for the run is some sort of foam padding, and the literature from Bedrug also claims it will not absorb moisture.

I have a hard lid on order, so in the meantime I am not running it thru any automatic carwashes as I think the soap would look pretty crappy in there, but using a hose and water judiciously so as not to get too much on the rug, it seems to work pretty well.

I have had plastic liners in my trucks and when wet or snowy, they are real treachereous if you have to crawl in the bed to do any loading/unloading, etc.

The Bedrug seems like a very good product, installs easily, and looks great.
