Bed bars ?
Bed bars ?
I'm not sure of the exact jargon. What do you call the tubalar bars that mount on the top rail on both sides of the bed and run the full length of the bed. In any case, for the F150 01 6ft bed styleside, I'd like to get a nice set in black. Whose do you recommend, are they difficult to install, and is any drilling of the original truck metal required.
They're called Bed Rails
Mine went into the rectangular holes in the ends of the bed sides, they were covered by a little plastic cap that popped out. No drilling whatsoever. Got mine about 5 years ago, stainless steel, still look great. See the attached photo. The company I bought them from installed them quickly, could have done it myself but they charge very little for labor if you buy it there. I believe they were under $200 for the stainless ones...it's been a while and I bought all the accessories there for my truck.
93 thousand miles later they are still on!
Good Luck!
