Is It True What They Warn About Bed Liners...??
Is It True What They Warn About Bed Liners...??
Perople have warned me that my bed liner will wear right through the paint in my box....
Has anyone had any experience with this supposed problem?
They say the bed liner moves around and vibrates just enough to wear through the paint in the bottom of the box. And then it begins to rust out your box. I think that could be cured easily enough with a little bit of rubber tape on the floor of the box.
Anyone have anything to report on it?

ya, they do.
What i reccomend is a paint in bed liner. let it dry for a week, then put a plastic one in. I did that with my old ranger, and had no problems. also kept it from rattling... the paint in one doesn't wear away, then you have the plastic one, incase you spill tar or something else that won't come off.. saves you from cleaning up a paint in liner
best of both worlds :P

If I could do it over I would go with a BedRug . . . !
TubaMan's idea sounds real good . . . if I do that know I wonder if I could put a BedRug over it at a later date . . . ?

Where would I look for a paint saver pad? I have searched online and haven't had any luck.

When I picked up my truck it had a dealer bedliner (the kind with the dealer name on the back wall), cheap piece of crap that I had the dealer replace in 359 miles. When the new one was put I did notice damage to the paint - in just 10 days. I added a Paint Saver Pad with the new one.
