Tried a search and no luck. Can anyone tell me how to remove and replace the tailgate cap on a 2006 F-150?

 

I recommend removing the access plate and going in from that side to release the clips that hold that into place.

It is friction fit, and the only way to get it out (without breaking it) is to be very careful.
