Bed size 2011vs 2018 6.5 for retax

Will a retrax cover on 2011 f150 6.5 bed fit a 2018 6.5 bed both have ford tail gate step. just wanting to know what is different

Probably will not work. The Retrax model numbers for those two vehicles differ.

i knew of the part #s differ just saying what has changed just how much can the bed differ
might go to dealer on a sunday with tape around here you pull in and the sales guys attack you

Measuring is the only way.

Chances are they (Ford) changed the dimensions ever so slightly.

I'm guessing that there are significant differences, in 2015 they went from steel to an aluminum bed.

That's part of it.

You'd think a 5.5/6.5/8ft beds would be identical in length and width. Depth is another animal.

I guess it drives up sales for these manufacturers.

I have an Undercover Flex on my 2017 supercrew 5.5ft bed that originally was on an 2013. Its fits pretty well, not perfect though. Undercover has different part numbers for the different years as well.
