Unhappy Herculiner

So I've had herculiner in my truck for several months now and am starting to get disappointed. There are several places where it has chipped off and the metal is clearly visible. In most the rest of the bed, you can see some of the origional red showing through to some degree. I know other's have had good experiences with herculiner but I thought I would share mine. I guess i'll just have to buy one of the extra quarts and touch up when I need it

That sucks.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of doing my SuperCrew.

herculiner exp

i did my black flareside about 2 months ago. Gotta admit that i couldn't be more pleased. Still maintains it's "wet" look.

2 questions: did you do a complete second coat?
and did you de-glaze/ wipe down the bed w/ zylene?

Did an incomplete second coat myself in one place. I waited til the first application had a week to cure, then took the little bit i had remaining and slapped (literally) it on with a brush. Flawless merge. Impossible to tell that i "touched up".
Good Luck.
