Question Will it work? Need fast answers fast.

This guy has a tonneau cover from a '06 Titan he is willing to get rid of.
It's from a 6 1/2 ft. bed.
The BIG question is...
Will it fit my '04 f150 style side 6 1/2 ft. bed. (not step side / not heritage body either).
Maybe just a hardware replacement requirement?
Or forget it and accept the fact that good opportunities are for others and not me?

Keep looking for one made for a 2004 - 2008 F150. I highly doubt the Titan tonneau would fit.

I found mine on craigslist for $100. It was practically brand new. They normally cost over $400.00 for the model I have.

Doesn't sound like you're positive either. Anybody out there know for certain?

Look at it this way, if a tonneau for 1997 - 2003 f150s is not compatible with 2004 - 2008, one made for a totally different truck definitely will not fit.

I really do appreciate your trying to help XL. I really really do. So please don't take this the wrong way. There is a large visible difference between the heritage models and post 03 F150's. Very obviouse those would not be innerchangable.

The '06 Titan bed and '04 - '08 bed seem very similar in the fact that it's just a simple straight rectalugle shape and visually seem that they "may" fit and possibly just have to move the hardware placement. This is what I am trying to determine. Your statements are full of "if's" and "doubts" but no actual facts.
I was not looking for opinions.

This guy only lives in the next city over. Not too far of a drive. I just have to find the time we are both free to just go over and physically check it out and attempt a fitting. It's a fiberglass cover, in realgreat shape, and a close enough matching color. I'm praying it fits and just needs some hardware adjustment; if even that.

I was worried he would just imediatlly pawn it off on the next guy that came knocking and needed fast answers. But he is willing to hang onto it for another day so I can go check it out.

Thank you everybody for your efforts.

I'll be sure to post a success or not for future inquiries.

Call the manufacturer and ask them. Tonneau covers are make and model specific. There's no "one size fits all." I understand you think the beds look similar. 2004 - 2008 beds look similar to 2009+ yet they do not fit.

Master,

The Titan cover will not fit. After measuring my truck bed against my gf's boss's bed, the Titan bed is wider and of visibly different dimensions than the F-150. The Titan itself is a noticeably larger truck...sorry to burst your happiness, but I myself have tried several product changes between brands and 99% of the time, things just don't pan out. This time, 100%.
