Thumbs up Steel Horse Carpet Bedliner

Just ordered a Steel Horse Carpet Bedliner. It's supposed to be the same as the bedrug, but about $150.00 cheaper. $212.13 w/shipping. Its made of the same stuff, same warranty. Bedrug must have a lock on what anyone can sell them for, everywhere I looked they were $359.00. Anyone have either one of these? I wondering how the install went.

I just got mine last week, ordered it the 11th of June. I got it for 199.00 w/ free shipping. I have a catalog now that it's 179.00 but you have to pay shipping.

It is not like BEDRUG. mine is 7 seperate pieces. The floor, each side, front panel, tailgate, and corners by the tailgate. The BEDRUG is 2 pieces that zip together to make 1. The floor starts at the top of the tailgate and goes to the front of the bed. The BEDRUG is a little thicker and the floor is contoured to the bed where Steelhorse is just flat, the steelhorse is still very comphy because I layed on it for the fireworks on the 4th.
They are both secured with the same hook and loop system and it is very strong. Also the BEDRUG is a little darker in color.

I'm very happy with the 150.00 that I saved and saving up to do a 2/4 lowering.

jk, where'd you get the bedliner? I was just about to order a Bedrug today, but I'd like to take a look at that Steel Horse before I plunk down the extra $150 for a bedrug.

Firezap,

W/all those pieces, does dirt, water and etc... go under where they meet, since there is no zipper to block the stuff?

There is a piece of velcro along the bottom edge of the side panels. I think if you haul sand or some fine materal both will let a little material through.

Thanks for the info guys. The steel horse does looks good, but I decided to go ahead and order a bedrug from TNT Services. With shipping, total price is about $314.

Angry

The Steelhorse carpet bedliner is not what I was expecting. The foam is thin, it does not fit very well, the velcro that is sewed into the back is coming apart. The carpet is not as good quality as the bedrug. I feel stupid to say I guess you get what you pay for (even though $200 bucks aint cheap!) Autoaccessory.com has been very good about taking it back. I called and they gave me a RMA # w/out fuss. As soon as the credit hits my account, I'm ordering a Bedrug from TNT Services ($288).
