Another bedliner question

Hey guys, I have a 2011 Ecoboost due in anytime now & I'm torn between a spray-in & the dual liner. I'd get the spray-in but I haul a lot of firewood besides the dirt bikes & since I've never had a spray-in I'm leery of bed dents/damage from the firewood. Seems the spray-in wouldn't be as protective as the dual liner. What's your opinion?

get a rhino line or line-x. both are great if your throwing stuff in your bed and it will tear a stock bed line up. also try speed line. my brother works for them and I sprayed his truck with him and they look nice

i think imma go with the reflex liner. theres a shop near me that does it and i hear from several ppl that its actually held up better than rhino, as far as color and strength.. they said the only thing that compares is linex.. the only difference is that the reflexx has more of a rhino lining texture and the linex has the coarse texture.. idk but i trust the pple so imma try it i think.. its 400 for any fullsize truck..

NO!!!!! Sounds like the guy is just is not educated about his (and other's) products.

It's really funny to me when I hear (and read): "It's just like LINE-X."

When you bought your Ford, did the salesman say, "Yes, it's a Ford, but it's just like Mercedes?"

That sounds just as stupid to me as does "It's just like LINE-X".

Listen, get whatever you want, but I'll just tell you that LINE-X is a superior product than both Rhino and Reflex. Beware: Reflex is a low pressure application, it won't have superior adhesion and won't look as nice as a high pressure application. Rhino (Tuff Grip and Hardline) is polyurethane and does not have even near the strength and durability of LINE-X. Reflex is also polyurethane! Actually, Reflex is like Rhino's old product Tuff Stuff which they ditched a couple of years ago. (But, some dealers still spray it because they can't afford new equipment.) Right now, LINE-X is having a promotion on LINE-X Premium. Unlike Rhino and Reflex, LINE-X Premium won't fade....ever!

Now, about Dual Liner: Totally different animal than a spray-on. It's plastic sides with a rubber mat floor. Functional? You bet. Totally different look though.

well my source is a trusted auto parts salesman that owns his own shop. he told me hes had all three, rhino linex and the reflex. but u have to drive hours to get the linex and rhino from where i live.. within the last couple of years a relex installer has come to the area.. well he told me that all of his three trucks has reflex sprayed in them including his month old $60k gmc 2500. i mean if ull get summn sprayed in ur $60 k ride u must trust it..
and as far as it being like linex i didnt mean the same company or sprayed the same.. if u read my post i said it compares to it as far as color hold up and the strwength of not chipping or cracking...
although i have no experience with either i do believe linex would be stronger than rhino but i do believe the reflex compares greatly to the linex (from what i hear). and for me the 20 minuite drive to drop my truck off for the day to get it sprayed rather than driving 2.5 hours and settin in a waitin room all day sounds alot better to me..

also the reflex also only has a 24 hour cure period unlike many other competitor of linex and rhino.. so i think ill go with the reflex..

If you're happy getting Reflex, then that's all that counts. So, I say, good luck and go for it!

However, based on your comments, your parts guy is not that familiar with Rhino, LINE-X, or Reflex. I am intensely familiar with all of them because I have to be.

I'm not bashing Reflex or Rhino. Based upon what the products are and how they are applied, they are not superior to LINE-X. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. That doesn't mean that you will not be happy with one or the other though. Any of them may suit your needs just fine.

I received you PM. I suppose you don't visit the forum much because everyone knows I'm a LINE-X dealer. However, I've had extensive training in coatings and I'm about to get more this month. (Those familiar with coatings, I'm speaking of SSPC training.)

So, after you get it done, post some pics!
