I just got the bakflip in Nov. Only problem is the drain hoses freeze solid and a few minor leaks. I will add more weather stripping when weather warms up.

Skeeter -- in that last photo what is the white inverted T handle there in the left corner? Is that part of your Bakflip? I thought maybe it's a new pull handle, mine has only a cable you pull on, but then in the photo above it, I don't see the "T" - just the cable like mine? Inquiring minds want to know...

If you have power door locks what is real nice with the bak flip is Pace Edwards PowerGate lock when you unlock or lock the door with the remote the tail gate unlocks or lock. I love it. I never have to unlock the tail gate with my key. Whenever I get out of the truck the gate is unlocked and when I lock the truck I know the tail gate is locked.

I have the F1 on my King Ranch and really like it so far (I've only had it a month or so). My 5 year old can even operate it and he loves sitting on it when it's folded. I have a Ford bedliner and didn't want to drill holes in it to run the hoses through, so I went to Lowes and bought two 6 ft. pieces of clear tubing and just run them along the sides of the bed and they drain out the back by the tailgate and seem to work fine. I threaded the tubing through the tie down eyelets at the rear of the bed on my 2010 KR. The people at BAK have been really nice to work with too, which is always a plus. I emailed them and Julian responded within 24 hours. I would recommend the F1. I tried an A.R.E. fiberglass tonneau, but when it arrived at the retailer in my town it was clear that A.R.E's quality control guy must've been off the day they put in on the trailer because it was the top of the line they make and two sides had bad spots in the rim that comes closest to the truck, so if you held a straight edge up to them you could see about a 3/8 inch hump where they apparently tried to sand off some glue from the carpeted underside of the tonneau. I had ordered the top of the line without the trim piece because I wanted it to be perfect and when I saw the two bad spots, I was really disappointed. I was even more disappointed when my retailer called A.R.E. right in front of me and they didn't want to let me return it. I told the retailer I knew my consumer rights and didn't accept the substandard quality. The retailer treated me right, but A.R.E. did not impress me at all with the way they tried to intimidate me and my retailer into taking it with a discount due to the poor workmanship. If I would've wanted a discount I wouldn't have ordered the most expensive tonneau they made; I just wanted it right and they weren't able to do that to my satisfaction. Oh well, it worked out well; I really like the BAKflip F1, so it turned out well.

I think we got it from the same ebayer. How much did you get yours for? I paid $795 for the F1, but I've seen him accept a $725 offer on the F1. I wish I could go back in time, but still, that guy on ebay sells at the lowest price compared to any other dealer that I came across.

i offered 750 and he accepted. plus ebay had an additional 10% off coupon so I paid 675.

only downside was it is not stocked. so it will take 7-10 days to be manufactured and shipped

Wow sweet deal. I ordered mine from him on 3/18/11 and its arriving today. It should arrive fast for you because I emailed BakIndustries around 3/29/11 and told them how much longer are the F1's going to take to ship out and the woman said she can ship it out that day, I just needed to give them my purchase ordered #. But just after I sent that email they shipped it out.

I just hope it arrives without damage, I heard stories from people here and on dealers websites of them arriving damaged and mine is getting shipped across country, from CA to NY.

Again, nice deal you got there.

Take care

Thank you all for this information. I am very interested in this cover.
My question is, at highway speeds with the F1 folded all the way up, does it rattle? Does it hit against the back window? I heard that after a year old, it starts to look faded (I read that in a few reviews). I am also worried about the fitment, just due to the fact that I've read a few horror stories.

My other concern is routing the water to the back of the bed for the fact I have a bedliner..but I like Reg10Rad's idea/solution to that problem. Is this cover pretty water tight?
