Can the spoiler be removed?

Just got my 2004 DSG Lightning. The previous owner had already put an ARE tonneau cover with spoiler on it. I'm not a big fan of the spoiler...can it be removed? What would I do with the holes left behind?

Look on the bottom of the tonneau cover, there is probably holes where the spoiler is mounted to it. You would just unscrew it to remove it. As for the holes left behind, you have two options -
1. go to a hardware store and find some plastic plugs, sand them down flat, and paint them to match your truck's color.

2. take the tonneau cover to a body shop and get the holes filled and painted...This is obviously the more expensive route, but will lead to a much better looking finished product.
