Roll bars............
Roll bars............
I guess this is the best place for this thread...
I know it's old school.....
But have really been wondering how one would look or where to go to get one made....
Probably a single or double bar. That would have four to six light tabs.
Match the cab height and width and come down at an angle like a baja truck.
If I did it I would have it line x'd either silver DSG or black....
Anyone out there have one or thought about this?
Here's my truck how do you think it would look?

You might have to make one or have someone make it for you.

I just bought a used, black, single-tube roll bar for my 2003 Screw.
Can't hardly wait to install it.
Best part, the roll bar doubles as a 15gallon air tank.

New roll bar is mounted with straps, as I haven't had time to bolt it down yet.
I think the height and contour of the bar match the supercrew cab almost perfectly.
This particular bar was originally for an oldschool (1980's) stepside bed, so it bolts down to the bed between the wheel wells.
It's very light, say 30lbs. The bar is fully welded and sealed, with air fittings - so it doubles as an air tank.
I think it looks pretty sweet but my wife hates it.

Wookie, glad you like it. This project is going to take more work than I anticipated:
1. sand, smooth welds , then repaint bar
2. dispose of my plastic bedliner
3. do some major dent-removal on the bed interior
4. apply a nice thick coat of Herculiner to the bed
5. figure out the best way to attach the bar to the bed
6. install an insane array of KC lights facing front, side, and rear.
for #5, I'm thinking rivet nuts or nut inserts that attach permanently to the bed floor, or just welding studs to the bed floor. Any ideas?
