Liner for tailgate?

Is it possible to order just the tailgate portion of a hard plastic drop in? I chose the route of a Leer Cap and rubber bed mat but want something that I can attach to the inside of the tailgate to protect it during loading and unloading actions..

I got my Penda Liner hard plastic tailgate protector at the local farm supply store for around $70. Check around they are still available for most trucks.

I called my dealership & told the parts dept what I wanted for my 2010 F150, was told they could sell me just the gate part for around $65, I said cool I'd come over after work. Right after work I drive the 20 miles to the dealership and tell them I'm there for the gate liner I called about. From one of the guys I get a "ford ranger right?" I said no an 2010 F150 like we discussed this morning... "Oh Yeah. just a minute"... he talks with the other parts guy who I can hear chanting over and over " gotta buy the whole box set up" but the other guy disappears and comes back ten minutes later with a dirty liner. Then the other guy starts into his deal again with you are supposed to order bolts with the liner as the truck gate bolts aren't long enough but they come with the whole liner kit deal and they give up on trying to figure out what liner he had drug in. I said look, I got a bed mat and I'm waiting on a cap, I don't need a box liner. Then they go, well you can call us back with your VIN tommorow and we can go research it for you, or you can go to an accessories store closer to you that we occasionally buy from. During my 20 mile drive home empty handed I'm thinking that maybe I should have researched the dealership more than the truck on my recent purchase.

Meantime you can check this place out.. Says there for '09 F150's. Cant be much different than the '10s. There not OEM but i dont know if that matters to you and no ive never purchased from them.

Hello I am Todd from Dual Liner. We have a tail gate cover that would work for your truck as well. Sure I would like to sell you a complete bed liner system, but I would consider separating one out if you still need it. Check our product at www.dualliner.com . When you are ready to order call us at 1-800-992-1949. Also I know that they have changed the Ford F-150 tail gate almost every model year (which costs us a ton of money to make new molds). My email is todd@dualliner.com if you need anything else, other wise take care.

Right under my nose.

A small local truck parts shop got me exactly what I was looking for , just under $45. Going to install it tomorrow. It comes with mount washers etc. Assume that I should start at one side and do one screw at a time as I imagine the bolts in the tailgate hold all the tailgate linkage together. Any tips from anyone that installed their own tailgate liner?

If it's like mine it is pretty straight forward and will take about 5 minutes to install.
