American Roll Cover

I plan to order one of these in the next day or so unless someone can convince me otherwise. It will be going on my 2005 F-150 Screw. Autoanything seems like the cheapest place online.

Any thoughts or comments?

It's probably the best retractable cover on the market. Some things you should know:

1. Ease of installation is moderate. It's not super easy, so if you're not the "handy" type, you should not attempt to install it.
2. You will need to buy a 1.25" metal hole saw to drill a hole just below the rear stake pockets for the rear drain tubes. The cover comes with grommets, so it will look OK. Be sure you drill the hole in the right spot, read the directions!!!
3. You'll need a second person to push down on the cover's rails at the tailgate end while you tighten the rear clamps.
4. Some people accidently skip the lock block set step which is one of the last steps. Be sure not to skip that part!

Got it installed, adjusted, shimmed, etc... and I really like it so far. Supposed to rain here tomorrow. Plan to park it outside to see how water tight it is.

This is the cover I have on my truck. See my gallery. Like the cover but it does leak water at the tailgate (I have the step which does not help)

It should not leak. Perhaps the water is coming in through the tailgate-body gap?
