A.R.E. box lid leaking water into bed. How to fix?
Hey guys, I have the A.R.E. LSII tonneau cover and love it. I've had it for about 3 years, and the only issue I'm having is water leakage inside the box when it rains. It seems to be coming in from the front two corners of the box, right behind the cab. The dealer that installed it apparently used some adhesive foam tape to seal it, but I don't think that's doing the trick. What should I do to fix this the right way and permanently? Thanks!
I can't speak from experience regarding the Snug Top on my 2005 F-150, since this truck has never been driven in the rain. However, is it realistic to expect that these things are 100% waterproof?
I have a Snug Top on my 2009 Ranger as well (and this truck does get driven in the rain....
) and can tell you that Ford's design of the box on this truck would make it difficult for any lid to be 100% waterproof. A small amount of water leaks in from the front of the box even when I hand-wash the truck in my driveway. It's not a lot, and can be easily wiped up with a hand towel when I'm doing my final detail work.
