Undercover Se. Or Bak TiltBak

Trying to decide which one to put on. Any pics and advice would be awesome. Keep in mind I live in the Northeast with Snow and Freezing rain.
Thank you

I've got the Undercover and I think it's great! It's tough as nails, doesn't leak and is easy on and off. Just my 2 cents.

My vote: Undercover

By the way, they now have a paintable SE model ("Undercover SE-Smooth")

Ive owned both.. Currently i have the Bakflip.

Undercover- if it has to be 100% water tight with no leaks, you dont mind a big lip over your bedrails, black streaks all down your bed and tailgate everytime it rains. Taking it off they say is only 75lbs or so but its an awkward 75lbs to handle when you try to remove it yourself, not easy at all.

Bakflip- If you dont mind leaks here or there when it rains, prefer smooth flush look, ease of folding sections to put things in higher than the bedrails and no black streaks when it rains.

If you don't mind, I thought I would clarify a couple of things:

The Undercover weights 58 pounds (short bed) and the black streaks are dirt, not the cover.

A folding cover is great also, but the seals on Bakflip are thin and flimsy.

I have the BakFlip and considering the amount of times I had to put oversized items in the bed, a tilt back tonno would drive me nuts.
- But does it leak? Yes
- Are the seals "thin and flimsy"? This is really a subjective question, but I do think the seals are a point of wear over time. Not sure what I'd do if/when they start to tear.
- Quality: Excellent, but again subjective so this is my opinion.

For your needs in the freezing Northeast, the Undercover may be the way to go. BTW, this is the first time I recommended a tilt back cover to the BakFlip! I live on the West coast so conditions here are not nearly as severe as you experience!

If you're happy with the cover and it fits your needs, then that's good and I'm sure there are other happy owners.

I'm comparing the cover's seals to other covers on the market. If I were to pick the most flimsy seals, it would be the seals on the Bakflip.

I get NO BLACK STREAKS from my Undercover.... Of course, the birds seem to like to use it and my clean truck for "target practice" but that has nothing to do with the brand of cover................

I have had too many complaints from customer's who bought a BakFlip and never had any complaints with an Undercover.

Love my Undercover SE. Keeps things bone dry and reasonably secure. I agree on it being a favorite drop zone for birds though. I figure the birds would still do what they do wherever they want to do it and it's easier to clean off the Undercover than the stuff in the truck bed!

I bought the Undercover Se. Thank you for the advice. I love it. Very good looking unit and it does not leak. I also bought the Swingcase. If you don't have one you are crazy. This is the best box for any truck. install is easy. and removal is as easy as just lifting it off. Make a great cooler for the adult beverage's.

Glad the SE and Swingcase is working for you! Great "bang for your buck" (except the Swingcase is a bit pricey).

Undercover just had a pretty big price increase.
