I have an ARE Z-series cap that I bought used. It looks like it has the tilt down front window but I cannot get it to tilt down. It has the two platic latches on the top and and I unlock those but the window does not budge when I try to pull it down. Has anyone else had similar problems or am I missing something here?

 

My cap has done this too... undo both latches and kinda wiggle the window frame left & right with your hands. It shifts when you're driving. Be ready to catch the window as it'll just pop out!

If your cap is really old, it might just be stuck. My Dad's '01 F-250 Leer cap front window will NOT tilt out anymore. It seems like the window frame and the actual window itself has fused together. We tried really hard to free it, but gave up. It wasn't worth breaking a 9 year old window.

 

I will have to try and wiggle it around some and see what happens. I can't imagine it would be completely stuck because the guy I got it from had it installed on his 07 shortly after he bought it.
