4 years later, kudos to Extang!!!

In March 2006, I purchased an Extang RT Toolbox tonneau cover. I installed this on my 05 XL 8 foot bed behind a Conico poly toolbox. The cover worked great to meet my needs. Four years later, the cover was showing a lot of wear and the velcro was no longer holding the cover to the bed securely.

I emailed Extang expecting to get the typical BS and run-around. I got a response asking for pictures and was told they would respond within 24 hours. To my surprise, ten minutes later I had a response offering to replace the vinyl, the attached velcro, and the bed rail velcro.

While disappointed in the deteriorating condition of the cover, to me this is how customer service should work, but rarely does.

I hope this will help out someone who is considering such a cover.

Here's a couple of the pics I sent them.

Good to hear - since I have two Extang covers (one on my F150 and one on my wife's Nissan).

Did they tell you how to replace the velcro on the rails. My velcro is coming off on my cover and Im thinking about trying to glue it back down but I dont know what kind to use.

It will be 10-14 days before I receive the replacement cover and velcro. They have not offered any details to install the velcro yet. I will be glad to follow up when the new items arrive, if that will help.
