tailgate top plastic

I have been looking around on the internet for the piece of plastic that goes across the top of the rear tailgate but i cant find one, i have a 2004 f150. i lost it because the stupid thing would neve stay on even after i glued it on, any suggestions on how to hold it on?

Clean the tailgate's surface (where you will be sticking the mounting tape) with alcohol and the inside of the tailgate plastic (where you will be sticking the mounting tape). Mount the plastic piece with 3M Mounting Tape. You can get it at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

I've tried Gorilla glue on a few things. I don't recommend it at all.

Yeah i second that because that is what i used and it didnt work at all!
