Piranha,

How many pieces does the Bedrug come in ( 5? )? Can you order it without the tailgate cover? My Platinum has the tailgate step (shouldn't be a problem) with the flip up assist handle (would be a problem). Where is Tasca located and do you can a like to them? I kind of like the Ford logo also.

On the BAKflip, when it's flipped all the way up against the cab, how easy is it to completely remove it? I would be ok with a short trip like that around town but if I had to take a long trip I would want to take it off and store it in the bed. Is it a one person install/remove ?

They ask if you got the tailgate step, or the bed cargo system thingy. so either they have a different bedrug for tailgate or they take it off...either way im sure it can be cut to fit..

Te back flip can be taken on and off by one person - just two star nuts to undo - easier with two people, but not difficult alone. However, I'm not sure why you'd remove it. I've hauled my golf cart i the bed of the truck across country - LA to SC - with the bakflip folded up completely and traveling at highway speeds with no proble at all.

Send a PM to SteveVFX4 to get the contact information for his "guy". I think you'll be happy with the price you're quoted for a G2 shipped directly from Bak. After all my shopping around I thought it was a very good deal but I ended up going with the Undercover SE due to my different requirements.

1) Bed Rug came in 2 pieces - one is the floor of the bed and tailgate piece; the other is the bed wall piece (it wraps around and zips to the floor piece).

2) The tailgate handle would probably be an issue, but you should contact Wise Industries (the manufacturer) to get more info. The folks I talked to there were really nice.

3) I think Tasca is in Rhode Island. They are just an online Ford parts dealer with good prices and a responsive Internet department (important for me).

4) BakFlip removal - as has been said, it just takes unscrewing 2 star nuts and it's off. I'm 48 years old and out of shape and I can lift it. It's more the bulk of the thing (like a ladder - I'm always dinging stuff with it ) rather than it's weight that makes carrying it around a pain.

I just received my F1 and the box was labeled F! but I am not sure it is the F1. All the ads talk about it being cooler to the touch in the sunlight but mine gets as warm as the hood of the truck. This makes me wonder if it is actually an HD packaged in an F1 box. Does your F1 get this warm and do you know if there are any markins to identify between the two?
