Rhino or Line-X

I just purchased a new FX-4 and had them add a spray in liner in the deal but they use Rhino. Haven't had it sprayed yet, are they all about the same??

Rhino liner depending on how thick they spray it is more spongy like rubber, and the line-x is a hard coating. IMO Rhino liner is better if you have stuff rolling around the bed. I guess its all on your personal preference really

Around here, Line-X is considered the best.

The original owner had my truck line-x'd when he ordered it. I love it and glad I have it. Wouldn't want anything else back there.

i have rhino and i don't really care for it. it was on the truck when i bought it. some places are chipping and peeling but the paint still looks fresh underneath. i think you are supposed to take the paint off before spraying rhino.

looking a justin's post though, i think he has a good point. i have never had anything slip on the rhino and stuff would slip all the time in a truck i used to work out of that had line-x.

Line-X is better and the sprayer can adjust the texture for more or less slipping.
I can dig into Rhino with a finger nail. Not gonna last as long as Line-X. There are newer types of Rhino though that have better properties. Find out which one they are spraying.

The newer Rhino products are called Tuff Grip and Hardline. According to the technical data sheets, which I have, LINE-X has a 31% higher tear strength than either Rhino product and LINE-X has a 25 degree higher temperature tolerance also.

Yeah thats another good thing about Line-x. This weekend i had to pull a float through a parade. Probably last about 45 minutes or so. We had a generator running in the back of my truck, exhaust pointed right at the side of my bed. Didn't hurt it a bit or get it overly hot.

I had Rhino in my 97 and Line-X in my 08. Rhino is better looking and softer IMO but did have some chunks taking out of it. Line-X however slips more than the Rhino and is shiny which I don't like. It's uncomfortable to sit on as well. Rhino for the win!

I love my Rhino Liner. Wouldn't ever consider anything else, but I'm stubborn...

I've had the Line-X in my truck for 7 hard years now. It's held up perfectly, so Line-X has my vote. I can't say anything negative about Rhino as I have no personal experience with it. I can say that I like the look of Line-X much better. Rhino seems glossy and shiny which I don't care for.

I wouldn't get either. One of them (whichever one is spongy) peels. The other one is hard, but doesn't last very long from what I've seen with my buddy's trucks. I went with a bedliner that Bondo makes; it's hard as steel. Yes it's a little bit shiny, but not to the extent of the other brand.

Spray On Bed Liners

Both Line-X and Rhino as well as Vortex and others will all do the job. The most important thing is the truck preparation. In each case, the clear coat over the paint MUST be sanded to allow the liner product to grip. The truck then must be cleaned VERY WELL prior to spraying. Most times when the product PEELS, it is due to POOR preparation.

That's true, I knew a guy that had a Rhino liner, I belive the bed was sort of beat up/scratched and rusted. They must have not got all the rust off before they sprayed it on so it rusted out and he steps through the bed one day. and parts of the liner were peeling up
