There is no way my tailgate mat in this kit will { Protecta # 6945 } line up on my 09 tailgate . Makes me think that Ford might have done a re-do on the inner panel tailgate stiffeners starting with 09 ? My gate inner panel has 12 concave type stiffeners pressed into it for strength. I emailed Dualliner, no reply as yet ?

No, I got an "automated reply " saying they would be on vacation till this Monday { 10-19-09 } and would then reply ......we'll see ? I have called several local 4 wheel / truck stores, and they say they're having the same issue with the '09 / '10 F150 tailgates being different and no listings

I had a bed mat in my old pickup for 15 years with no problems.

News .... ......I compared the inner tailgate panel on my 2009 to my buddies 2007 to see why my Protecta # 6945 Bed / Tailgate set for 1997 -on F150 tailgates DOES NOT LINEUP ? The bed mat is fine, and fits like a glove , the tailgate inner panel on my 2009 has 12 "concave style " vertical stiffeners . My buddies 2007 has 11 " concave style " vertical stiffeners . So the placing of any attachment holes / screws is different and despite what several people and at least 1 distributor has told me ...the inner tailgate panel design has been ever so slightly changed for 2009 / 2010 ...enough that earlier tailgate mats will not fit correctly on the newer trucks Sugarbear

I just had confirmed that there are some differences in the new F150 tailgates. The manufacture is working on a new mold for that application but it is not currently available yet. Do you want to return the tailgate mat for refund?

So I got a tailgate mat to match the bed mat I already have, the protection is there but I'm disappointed with how much the mat expands/contracts with the weather we got goin on this time of year. I put it on snug and now with these warm days/freezing nights it sort of raised itself up. We'll see how it behaves as it gets colder. Here's a pic:

I've had a rubber mat in my 2004 for 6 years. Left it in during washing and no problems. I just bought a new rubber mat for my 2010 KR. I love them. They work great.
