Drop in Bedliner Tips/Tricks

Hi, I just got myself a 2008 King Ranch. I want to put a plastic under the rail bedliner (one piece). I'd like to know any tips/tricks that would make it easier. Should I start putting it under the rail in the front first or the side first? I live in the Northeast were temps are close to 0 degrees. I wonder if this will make the instalation much harder. I don't have access to a heated garage. Also should I wax and/or put light oil on the bed before?

Thanks
Bob

you will want to "fold" up in the middle down the length of it to get the sides to flex in enough to get it down between the rails. once "folded" (might be nice to have two people) you will kinda have to slide it forward up against the front edge of the bed and then let the back half fall in place

Make sure your tie down hardware will clear the holes, or else you will need to take them off before installing the liner.

Bob, are you sure you want a drop in bedliner? They will eventually rub the paint off your truck, guaranteed. There are alternative to a drop in.

Yes , Im sure. I've always had a drop in liner and I was never dissapointed. I agree it will in time rub off the paint. But once its on it will always stay on. I'll never see any damage by it Besides ita already on order.

It really doesn't matter which side you start from... just slide it in and tuck it under the lips. I recommend heavy duty gloves and a rubber mallet. The reason I recommend the gloves is because the edges of the plastic is not finished, meaning it will cut you. A rubber mallet it used for the areas in which the bed liner won't go under the lip... the mallet will force it. It takes some time to do... but being it is 0F out it will probably take twice as long as you freeze your butt off...

sat1,2,3 are just "Banks" to preset stations to, there is only one set of stations you will get on all three. Just like FM1 and FM2 on most radios.

The instalation of the bedliner went better than expected. Thanks for all your tips. Thanks for the radio info. That was driving me nuts. Makes sense though.

Eh, personally glad I went with my Line-x lol. Better everyway around compared to drop-ins.
