Line-X Question

Had my 08 SuperCrew Line-x'd today, sprayed about 3 hours ago. I live on a gravel road, and by the time I got home had a layer of dust near the edges in the box. Should I try to wash out now, or wait 24 hours? If I wait will the dust settle in and stick to the Line-X?

Sort of late now, but you can wash it off immediately if you have regular LINE-X. If you have Xtra, I'd probably wait until the next day.

I know that Truckgasm is the expert, but for the record... I picked up my truck here in Huntsville during a light rain... on the same say it was prepped and sprayed.

I'm coming up on 11 months since then and haven't noticed any problems caused by water getting on the X-tra so soon after being applied.

I remember that it was cloudy and raining because I had to wait until the next day to truly enjoy my beautiful new bedliner in the sun!

Xtra has to "gas off" and water will interfere with that process. Water also will interfere with the crosslinking of the Xtra/LINE-X chemicals. Generally, we tell our customers not to get water on it for 24 hours because that's how long it takes all the chemicals to cure. While getting it wet within 24 hours may not cause any noticable problems, we shoot for the best possible scenario.

Excactly what I was told when mine was applied.

I do have to say that mine out-gassed for about 3 weeks... at least it was "smell-able" for a good 3 weeks. Nothing strong after the first day, but the smell was there for a good 3 weeks.

It smells like... VICTORY!!

LOL
