If you had to get a drop in, dual liner would be the premium product.

But like others have mentioned, sand, grit, grime etc will get between the parts etc and it has to be removed for cleaning.

I have Line-X with X-tra and I am completely OCD, I like the fact that I can back down the driveway and wash out my bed in nothing flat, with no parts to dissemble, take part, move, store etc...

2 hours away for line-x....do it. worth the drive if you ask me.

I like my line x so much I bought an RV box and had it line-x'ed with Xtra...looks great and always will. with the Line-x on it, its also stronger.

I Have a drop in liner .. actually from ford. It's been in for 10 years, and no rust. The key to the drop in liner is to take it out every month or so and clean the bed out. Mine takes about 10 minutes to do. It doesn't go over the rail just underneath the lip of the bed rails. If not taken care of like everyone said it will form rust. The 94 ranger I had also had one from the factory ... with no rust up until it went missing at the beginning of this year.
