Cool To Spray or Not To Spray? That is the question..

I have been comparing the Rhino Liners and the Line-X and the Line-X Xtra Color match liners for well over 2 months now. And have recently made my appointment to have the Line-X Xtra put in my 07' F-150 later on in the month. I was wondering if I should have them spray over the bed bolts for the slicker look, or have them remove the bolts - spray- then replace them? I would like to see them removed and replaced after the spraying is complete, but I have heard that they have a possibility of rusting around the bolt holes. Is this true or is it a myth? What have some of you guys had done? Thanks

Previous owners of my truck had the bed sprayed and the bolts removed during the spray. I live in AZ though = No rust for me.

Here's another idea: Remove the bed bolts, apply LINE-X, reinstall the bed bolts, apply Xtra. That way, the bolts can still be easily removed and the bolts will have Xtra ( ) protection and will have the color of your truck. I have a picture of this, I'll need to look for it.

I don't know, I like the looks of both. That Tundra that Truckgasm has pictured looks real nice with the Xtra sprayed over the bolts. I never thought of something like that before. But at the same time, the King Ranch pictured looks sharp w/o the bolts sprayed. I will have to think about this for a bit...

Here's a pic of Xtra with the bed bolts not coated.

I have to say I like the looks of TruckGasm's treatment on that Tundra!

I have the rhino sprayed into my truck with the bolts covered. I really dont have a need to remove them and if i did ever have to a razor blade will solve that. I liked the clean look rather than seeing the bolts. But Truckgasm had a great idea and looks really nice. If your gonna do Line-X, I would definitely do what he did

I like Truckgasm's idea, however, if it matters.... I had my bed sprayed and had the bed bolts sprayed and it looked fine. Remember, your talking about a bed liner, not a paint job on a Ferrari. When my bed got damaged because somebody backed into the side of it, the body shop just cut the piece away that covered the bolts and removed the bed. Wasn't an issue at all. The only bolts they removed when they sprayed were on the tailgate, those were a lot smaller and probably would be more difficult to remove if they got caked up.

TruckGasm did mine also. I live near Houston (close to Galveston Bay)

so if anyone would have a problem with rust it would be me. My truck is outside 24/7. No rust yet.

TruckGasm can supply the complete answer, but I believe that the Xtra is a "top-coat" that contains Kevlar microfiber and chemically bonds with regular Line-X application.

All I know is that it's tough, stands up to everything I've tossed back there and hasn't lost one bit of gloss / shine since I had it done.. that's a bit over a year now.
