Line-x and Undercover quote. Thoughts?

Hey guys,

I just got a quote from a Line-X dealer in Tacoma, WA. They've agreed to knock 10% off of both if I do them simultaneously. That comes to $432 for the Line-x and around $700 for the Undercover (installed). I could obviously save a few bucks on the Undercover if I install it myself, but this sounds like a pretty good deal to just have it all knocked out in 2 hours. The dealer in Tacoma is the first ever line-x dealer in the United States, and they have a great reputation.

Thoughts?

I assume you have a 6.5 ft. bed. That's a good price for the LINE-X. The Undercover price is fair and typical, but not necessarily under market price.

The Undercover will take you 10 minutes to install. Line-x price is very good, here its $100 a foot and a 5.5 ft bed is charged as 6ft.

My Line-X was $450.00 6.5 bed and my Undercover was $699.00. They are now $799.00 I bought mine 11 months ago. I would do it if I was you both are great investments the storage room you are going to have is HUGE. Money to Money the Undercover is probably one of the best mods I have done to my truck.

I only have the 5.5' bed, but I still think the prices are fair. I could probably find the undercover for $650 somewhere else, but the extra $50 including installation is no big deal.

I'd be "happy" if the prices were a few hundred dollars lower, but that's always the case. I guess I'm down with paying $100 more for the convenience of getting both products finished and installed in 2 hours. Know what I mean?

Go for it then, I bought the Undercover 2 years ago and I paid $599 delivered to my friends job. I installed it myself. I priced the Line-X but it was way to much money so I ended up going with a bedrug.

I think the popularity of both the bedrug and the undercover has evened the pricing out a bit. For example, the best I can find the bedrug for is $399. I can get the Line-x done at $439. The undercover pricing is $587, but I haven't found anywhere with free shipping right now.

Either way, the most I'm going to save is $100-$150 on both products. That's not chump change, but you do pay for convenience. Like you said, the bottom line is that they're all great products.
